Lace-up school shoes at Mathers come from Colorado, ROC and Harrison, in black and brown leather for junior, youth and senior students. Laces hold the foot more securely than a strap and adjust as feet change through the year, and our senior school shoes show the lace-ups many high schools ask for.

For students who have just learned to tie laces, Colorado Demo Lace, Memo and Hiace are junior lace-ups, and ROC Larrikin Junior comes in black and brown leather. Colorado Hype and Tempo come as lace-up leather sneakers for schools that allow a sneaker style.
For senior students, Colorado Roar is the lace-up our fitters rate most for durability, in several width fittings. Colorado Solar, Daze, Maze and Tina, ROC Strobe and Larrikin Senior, and Harrison Indy are further senior lace-ups, and ROC Dakota adds a low heel for schools that allow one.
A lace-up only holds the foot if it is laced properly, so it suits students who can tie their own laces well. Lace to the top eyelet, and undo the laces every time the shoes come off rather than pushing them off at the heel, which breaks down the back of the shoe. If the heel still slips, check the size, as the shoe may be too long. Leave about a centimetre in front of the longest toe, and our size guide explains how US, UK and European sizes convert. Â Â
